Support

Membership

Membership is the best way to experience everything the International Quilt Study Center & Museum has to offer. Your support advances the understanding and appreciation of quilts and quiltmaking traditions.

The International Quilt Study Center & Museum and Friends of IQSCM have joined forces to offer one membership with all the perks of being part of and supporting both. Membership will continue to directly impact the museum’s success by providing financial support towards world-class exhibitions, educational programs and global outreach. That means more meaningful experiences for visitors like you.

Give

University of Nebraska Foundation

The International Quilt Study Center & Museum relies on support from quilt enthusiasts from around the world. The center continues to grow and flourish because of your support. Our unique program accomplished much since its inception in 1997, including the opening of a museum and academic home on March 30, 2008.

The center is many things to many different people: a treasure house of quilts spanning centuries from around the world; a unique academic program and resource attracting scholars from far and wide; a connection point for quilt enthusiasts of all sorts; a world class museum with state of the art exhibitions, digital galleries and stunning architecture. The University of Nebraska Foundation is the designated fundraising organization for the IQSCM.

Give to Lincoln Day

Give to Lincoln Day is a 24-hour event that encourages you to contribute to Lincoln and Lancaster County nonprofit organizations in May. Give to Lincoln Day is coordinated by Lincoln Community Foundation, in partnership with local nonprofit organizations.

By supporting Friends of the International Quilt Study Center & Museum on Give to Lincoln Day, your gift makes a bigger impact. In addition to funds donated, nonprofits also get a proportional share of a $400,000 match fund made possible by LCF and generous sponsors.

Volunteer

Volunteers at the International Quilt Study Center & Museum support the museum in fulfilling its mission with various tasks. Some serve as docents giving tours to general visitors, elementary school children, and other special groups. Others conduct research on quilts in our collection and support the exhibitions team to install displays in our galleries. Another team works behind the scenes to preserve the collection.

Whatever your interest and background, we invite you to join our volunteer team. We provide regular training and communications to all of our volunteers.

Email us at [email protected] if you would like more information about volunteer opportunities at the museum.
