Let's learn about Nebraska's history through quilting and American Girl doll, Kirsten. We'll discuss Kirsten's story and "Little House on the Prairie" books.
We will visit the galleries to see the Log Cabin quilts and the Nebraska 150 quilts, "Inspired by Nebraska's Diversity." The children will complete a doll quilt from pioneer times by tying or stitching. Games and snacks from the era will be enjoyed by all.

We will visit the quilts in the galleries, including those in the Mary Campbell Ghormley Reading Room. Participants will complete a pioneer quilt for their dolls by tying or stitching, depending on their skill level. They will practice penmanship and learn about school in the early days, play games and enjoy snacks from the era.
