'Contemporary Quilt Art from the International Quilt Festival Collection' Opens

Friday, November 4, 2016
Description: The International Quilt Festival Collection, assembled by collectors Karey Bresenhan and Nancy O’Bryant Puentes, includes national award-winning works made by well-known artists working in the studio quilt movement from its earliest days, as well as emerging artists who have begun working in quilts as an art form more recently. The selections in the Quilt House debut of “Contemporary Quilt Art from the International Quilt Festival Collection” feature commissioned works along with pieces showcased at the International Quilt Festival’s annual exhibitions in Houston. The exhibition is organized by Dr. Sandra Sider, Curator of the Texas Quilt Museum founded by Bresenhan and O'Bryant Puentes in 2010.
