Behind the Scenes Tours

Behind the Scenes Tours may be scheduled on Tuesday-Friday afternoons preferably, with possible scheduling on Saturdays or Sundays. Tour dates will be confirmed contingent on staff availability. Tours should be booked at least four weeks in advance, to allow time to confirm availability of a staff member.

The tour includes admission to the museum, a docent-led tour of the exhibitions, and a special Behind the Scenes tour led by an IQSCM professional staff member. It will include viewing of at least six special pieces displayed in the collections workroom and/or collections storage area, a brief presentation about how we care for our collection and questions and answers with the staff member. Behind the Scenes Tours may last up to two hours.

The tour is for groups of 15-18 people. The cost is $30 per person or a minimum fee of $450. The tour fee must be paid in advance and is non-refundable. Every effort will be made to reschedule the group on another date if the tour must be canceled because of weather conditions.

If desired, the group may also use the Campbell-Hodder Seminar room for a meeting with refreshments or box lunches arranged by the organizers of the tour.
