Celebrating the Life of Ardis James

Ardis Butler James | December 5, 1925 - July 7, 2011

Ardis James loved quilts and all things about quiltmaking. Her legacy will live on in many ways, including one of her primary passions, the International Quilt Study Center & Museum. Since the original donation of the Ardis and Robert James Collection in 1997 and the establishment of the International Quilt Study Center, Ardis remained actively informed of and involved in the workings of the center. She celebrated the opening of the new museum in 2008 and most recently attended the latest IQSCM Symposium in March of this year.

Ardis will be missed and remembered with respect and affection by her friends in Nebraska, all around the United States, and throughout the world.

A public celebration of her life will be held at the museum on October 15 , 2011 fron 2:30 - 4:30 PM, with a program at 3:00 PM. Admission to the museum will be free after 2:00 PM.
