"Hearing the Quiet: Soft Focus Painted Fabrics Workshop" with Linda Colsh

Sunday, June 11, 2017 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday, June 11, 2017
9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cost: $100 ($85 for members)

Starting with a “blank canvas” (plain white cotton fabric), students paint and color fabric to create personalized art cloth. Students use acrylic paints & medium with traditional and nontraditional tools and a variety of surface design techniques to change the surface of the cloth. By applying mixed acrylics and water to the base fabrics, create intentional and accidental marks, textures and designs. Instructor-developed folding and layering methods create additional interesting patterns. Instructor will discuss and demonstrate mixing primary colors plus black and white to achieve a wide range of colors. Emphasis is on working with and really getting to know the potential and possibilities of paint-on-fabric, materials, tools and even the effects of working conditions.

Register online or call 402-472-6549.

Materials kit for paints & medium will be provided: ($10 fee payable to instructor in class)
