The IQSCM is a proud participant in Lincoln's First Friday Artwalk. In addition to free admission from 4-7 p.m. the first Friday of each month, visitors can enjoy gallery tours and first looks at new exhibitions. Music, demonstrations or other activities are also frequently offered.

Stitched in Nebraska Promo Image

Held the fourth Tuesday of each month at noon, Tuesday Talks provide behind the scenes and in depth information about current and upcoming exhibitions. The talks are free with admission and held in the Campbell/Hodder Education Classroom.

Our 2018 Tuesday Talk series "Stitched in Nebraska" will feature trunk show presentations from some of today's makers in our state.

Multiple times a year, we welcome the public to bring in their quilts for identification and documentation. Our staff and trained volunteers examine quilts and offer information about patterns, fabrics, styles and estimated age. A history form and documentation label is be completed for each quilt.

Small groups are invited to quilt at the museum for free on Saturdays. Quilters receive a place to practice their craft while visitors observe quilting first hand. For more information, or to reserve a Saturday, call 402-472-6549.

On the third Saturday in March, National Quilting Day is held at in conjunction with various community quilting organizations. Enjoy free admission, lectures, demonstrations and more to celebrate quilts and quiltmaking traditions with activities for all ages.
