How To Use This Site

We hope that you are finding what you need with ease and able to navigate through our web site efficiently. A few notes about the navigation plan:

You may always return to the Home Page by clicking on the needleburst icon within the top banner or by clicking on the word HOME in the navigation list in the left bar.

The listings in larger type in the left bar are pages you will find within the particular section, i.e About Us, Visit Us, The Quilts, Education and Research or Connections.

The listings in smaller type are pages outside of that particular section, chosen because they are frequently used or related to what you are seeing on the page.

In the top right on the page, you will see other links that may be useful, again chosen due to relative frequency of use or relationship to the information on that page.

At the bottom of the page the footer (in gray) contains several links taking you to other UNL sites or to more information about the International Quilt Study Center & Museum.

We are gradually adding instructions translated into languages other than English. Those will be found on the Translations Page.

You may notice the numbers on the right of most quilt images in the site. These are the object numbers of the quilts, as assigned by Collections Management when a new quilt is accessioned. You may use these numbers to look up a quilt in the searchable database. Note: we currently have 1800+ quilts in that database and will gradually be adding the balance of the collection.
