- Quilt Identification and Documentation
The International Quilt Study Center & Museum has offered several Quilt ID Days in recent years and each one attracts more participants. Individuals bring one or two quilts for examination by Center staff and trained volunteers. The quilts can often be dated by the fabric used, patterns are identified and the quilts are labeled with special muslin patches.
Now interested groups may download instructions on how to plan their own Quilt ID Day. Graduate student Jonathan Gregory has compiled an easy-to-follow set of guidelines.
