Partisan Pieces: Quilts of Political and Patriotic Persuasion Exhibition
This red, white, and blue pieced quilt immediately conveys the American maker's patriotic impulse. The stars in the center of each block are printed--not pieced--and could have come from a specialty fabric, such as patriotic bunting used at campaign rallies and July 4th Independence Day celebrations.
