Edith Withers Meyers Crazy Quilt

This quilt was made by Edith Withers Meyers, as a young woman, between the years of 1894 and 1898. All the names, dates, places, events, and comments refer to friends and family to make this a memory or friendship quilt. The comment "O, see the fair Oscar Myers (sic)" refers to Oscar Meyers, the young man whom Edith married in 1898.

Edith was born in Mount Morris, Illinois, in 1876 and came with her family to a homestead near Lodgepole, Nebraska in 1885.
