Carolyn Ducey, Curator of Collections, earned her Master of Arts in Art History from Indiana University in 1998 and her Ph.D. in Textile History (Quilt Studies emphasis) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010. Ducey has organized numerous exhibitions including "Fanciful Flowers: Botany and the American Quilt," and "African-American Quilts from the Robert and Helen Cargo Collection." She is co-author of Masterpiece Quilts from the James Collection (1998) and a contributing author of A Flowering of Quilts (University of Nebraska Press, 2001) and Wild by Design: Two Hundred Years of Innovation and Artistry in American Quilts (University of Washington Press, June 2003).
