Communications Coordinator Laura Chapman oversees advertising, media relations, public relations and marketing of programs and projects at the International Quilt Study Center & Museum. She works closely with staff members and volunteers to document museum activities, events and research for print and online presentation.
Laura graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s in news-editorial and minors in English and history. While a student, she wrote articles for the college’s depth report publication Fabric as Narrative, a look at quilting’s global impact. She previously reported at newspapers in Illinois and Nebraska and worked in corporate communications. She is also a published author of fiction.
