“Glory Bee!” – clay potted red geranium featuring dimensional petals and leaves.  An all-hand stitching project suitable for ALL skill levels, beginner through experienced.  Project is mostly completed in the class time.  Students learn basic wool applique stitches, how to stitch Kathy’s method of “flat stitching”, how to work with freezer paper patterns, and how to manipulate the wool and stitch dimensional petals and leaves. 

Instructor Kathy Gaul is the owner/designer of Meetinghouse Hill Designs, LLC and creates all the artwork and patterns herself.  Kathy has been designing, stitching, publishing and marketing her line of patterns since April 2009, celebrating 10 years in business in 2019.  Meetinghouse Hill Designs offers over 50 unique patterns for wool appliqué. The company produces lines of rug hooking canvases and punch needle patterns as well.

Class Cost: $80.00 ($70.00 members). Your registration includes courtesy admission to the museum plus snacks and beverage. Attendees will also receive 10 percent off one item in the Museum Shop for the day (IQSCM members receive 15 percent off).  You will have a 1-hour break for lunch on your own, (you may also choose to bring a sack-lunch).

Cost of Kit is $79 plus tax, which is payable directly to the instructor on the day of the class. Kit includes a complete pattern/instructions, hand painted bumblebee button, freezer paper, all felted wools (woven background and applique pieces that have been felted, NOT wool felt), all hand-dyed threads (Valdani)

General Supplies – Students to bring: scissors to cut paper, scissors to cut fabric, pins, pencil, white Clover brand Chacoliner marking tool, size 24 chenille needle and a clear quilting ruler. (Instructor does sell scissors, pins, Chacoliners and needles on site for classes.) If you have additional questions, you may call 402-472-6549.
